sunnyfields
sunnyfields is a utopian weirdcore- and dreamcore-inspired video game world that i created in 2022 back when those aesthetics were really popular on tiktok lmao. a flower called clementine (ce/cer) is the main character. in terms of plot there is basically nothing everyone just vibes
arrival to sunnyfields
upon arriving in sunnyfields, three things happen to you:
- you gain a watch as time there can get a bit wonky (the sun and moon appearing at incorrect times, random darkness or brightness, etc.)
- you forget your name. residents can help you find a new one though
- your head gets replaced with a random object
you get assigned an angel and choose a house in either the pleasant dream or deep dreaming (more on those in a sec) and then you just. live your life. idk i never thought it out that well
auras
sunnyfields is made up of five zones, called auras. those auras are the pleasant dream, deep dreaming, the stressful dream, the nightmare, and the Void.
the pleasant dream is a huge, hilly, green plain with two suns and an eternally blue sky. 95% of residents, called dreamers, live there. glitchless and perfect, it is impossible to be hurt here, whether physically or emotionally. paths are long and winding, and don't always stick to the ground. despite such a large percentage residing in this area, the houses are few and far between; on average it takes 10 minutes by foot to get from one house to another.
deep dreaming appears as a stereotypical American suburban neighbourhood, but nobody knows if the houses are occupied or not. occasional harmless bugs happen here, like model clipping, z-fighting or texture swaps; most frequently the ones of the sky and water. the remaining 5% of dreamers live here.
the stressful dream is where things start to fall apart at the seams. with more bugs than deep dreaming, it usually appears as a field of long grass with a gray cloudy sky. dreamers in this aura will have an overwhelming feeling of being lost and confused. this is where voids start to appear. if you find yourself in a stressful dream, look at your watch and go in whatever direction the hour hand is pointing - you'll get out eventually.
the nightmare is exactly what it sounds like. this edge of the world is foggy with a pitch black sky. glitched, with voids everywhere and unexplained eyes watching, nothing here is friendly or to be trusted. toys and objects from typical children's playrooms are scattered all over the place, as a way of comforting (or perhaps taunting?) the dreamer. the outer edge of the nightmare is blocked off with a wooden fence, it's the only thing keeping the Void out.
the Void is emptiness. you don't exist anymore.
gods, angels, heaven
sunnyfields was created by two unnamed game developers who the dreamers consider gods. the gods aren't professional devs though, looking at all the glitches and bugs. dreamers believe the gods are represented by the two suns in the sky, and so when they have a problem not even angels can help with, they pray to the suns.
angels are pastel coloured balls of light, and they are your guardian and best friend. they give advice, they make sure you don't venture too close to the edges of the world, and are just generally there for you when you feel alone. you can always depend on them.
heaven is where angels not assigned to anyone reside, whether that be because of the person not being in sunnyfields yet, or because their person is recovering from death (more on that later). only a few dreamers have entered heaven, which you can enter via a hard to pull off no-clip exploit when going up the path to the library. most are aware of this trick, but only a few have the courage to attempt it (rumours have it that once you enter you permanently become an angel yourself), and even fewer succeed.
death
dying is hard to accomplish in sunnyfields, and straight up impossible in the pleasant dream. if you do somehow manage to die, however, it's not a permanent thing – it's more like a temporary illness. dead people are laid in bed and left for one to two weeks, after which they're good as new. the only way to truly die is to enter the Void.
voids
voids appear in stressful dreams onwards and are intangible black shapes or smudges that can be of any size or shape, though mostly take forms of rectangles or circles. They're there for a protective purpose – they cover what shouldn't be remembered. voids appear to be completely subjective; one dreamer may see a void while another, looking at the same spot, sees nothing out of the ordinary.
stressful dream voids are relatively tame, and if you try to get close to one they will simply stop you from moving towards them (think invisible barriers). nightmare voids, however, are hostile. they will try to fend off at first, but if you are insistent enough they will eventually let you peek at what they censor, and will take no responsibility for what happens to your psyche after you see the object in question. you shouldn't get voids and the Void mixed up; voids are objects, the Void is a place.

when i said "semi-developed concepts" up there i really mean it with this one. i only have a premise and three pieces of art all of which have different character designs. this one is something i'd actually really like to return to some day because it has potential i think!!
nat/nat is, like sunnyfields, inspired by a tiktok lol. my first concepty art of it was in late 2021 and i decided to give them proper lore in early 2022. haven't really touched it since then oops
the basic premise is that there are these two girls both named natalie but one of them prefers going by nat. one evening by pure coincidence they were both out somewhere where they find this cool crystally rock and they take it home. the rock is actually a magic stone split in two and since they both found a half at the same time it magically linked them. the next day they both wake up to see each other in the mirror and freak out a bit but eventually they figure out it was the stone's doing. they theorise that putting the two halves back together will unlink them and they'll be able to use mirrors again... problem is they're on opposite sides of the country. nat is the one with the car but unfortunately due to scheduling issues they can't meet up until summer which is a month away
over the month leading up to the roadtrip they get to know each other better and fortunately figure out that using a phone's front facing camera doesn't count as a mirror so they can look at their reflections again at least
will they meet up once summer comes and put the rock back together?? oooOOOOooOOoo (yeah they will. AND they stay friends)

omni
hi so i'm working on a redesign so this might change at some point
the cat you've been seeing all over the website is my fursona!! its name is omni and it uses it/its exclusively. omni isn't a "cat", technically, just a clump of sentient shadows shaped like one. it can shapeshift, but prefers to be a cat because it's cute.
the lore
omni started out as a mere lump of shadows about two billion years ago. it sat there like that until eventually living beings rolled up and it went "huh what if i tried being like them". it then spent a really long time (1054 years give or take three months according to it) developing skills like moving around and using telepathy for communication. despite the newly learned abilities it stayed in the shadows (hehe) until about 20 years ago when it finally gained the courage to go out there and actually interact with people. it's mostly got the hang of Appearing Normal but still goofs sometimes please be patient with it
the science
omni is made up of semi-tangible shadows and texture wise it's like. a stream of pressurised air but frozen in time. like the air isn't actually going anywhere but you still feel it. am i making sense. the amount of shadow it's made up of is finite, so it can't get crazy with its size or anything. if it wants to have longer arms it has to give up having ears or a part of its tail etc. being made of shadows also means being sensitive to light!! if it stays out in direct light for too long it'll start dissipating and looking for shade to hide in, which is kinda cruel because it ironically loves the feeling of sunrays on its face
the quirks
- any blinking it does is deliberate as by nature it has no need to do it. it learned the hard way that people prefer talking to it when its not staring into their souls
- it generally doesn't have a mouth and forms one only for expression reasons. when it does have a mouth it gives itself small fangs because it thinks they're cool
- it communicates only via aforementioned telepathy
- said telepathic voice has this underlying whisper to it. like if you played audio of someone whispering and talking normally at the same time
- can't pee, bleed, breathe, eat, or even really die. it does like to pretend sleep though. it lies down and enters a deep meditative state but is generally still awake and conscious
- can't lift heavy objects, and even with lighter ones it has to concentrate really hard to make sure they don't phase through its paws
- its vision is a little darker and blurrier than the norm. shitty eyesight rep
when arcadia falls silent
when arcadia falls silent (referred to as wafs from now on) is a story that i hold close to my heart but i doubt will ever be finished. the story has been in development on and off since 2021 and i haven't even got basic character info for some characters so. yeah. id like to rework everything someday but idk if that will happen
wafs is about this group of three elves and a dralin who find out via a dream that magic, gifted to them by one of the two gods, is secretly slowly killing everyone on the planet. almost all elves are deeply reliant on magic so, as much as it hurts, they have to find the tree that is the source of it and destroy it otherwise... well. bad stuff happens and everyone dies

However, after endless pressuring from them, Cirdan Wade decided to join out of desperation. He worked in the group for three years and saying he hated every single day of it was an understatement. One night, after weeks of planning and preparation, Cirdan Wade managed to escape and travelled all the way to the outskirts of Cavrine, where he hides from Snake Venom to this day.

htnkac actually started as a silly idea back in 2022. then i forgot about it until last month when i actually decided to do something with it because it was just too good to pass up
the story is about marlowe and flick who both work at a failing coffee shop. marlowe's life is SHIT from a financial point of view so when he finds out the boss can only give one of them a bonus he devises a plan to kill flick and secure the money. what he doesn't know is that flick seems to be god's specialest little guy and always avoids death by sheer luck. hilarity (and feelings?) ensue
